FDNY Firefighter Charged With Selling Drugs In Front of Firehouse

An FDNY firefighter was indicted today on charges of selling drugs, including making sales in front of his firehouse.

Daniel Torres, 33, was arrested today while driving to work. The indictment charged Torres with 10 counts of selling controlled substances, selling controlled substance in or near school grounds, and conspiracy. He was reportedly observed selling drugs in front of his Brooklyn firehouse (Engine 279 and Ladder 131), as well as near a school.

Torres was reassigned from Brooklyn to FDNY’s Recruitment Unit earlier this year. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
