Providence Firefighter Investigated for Gesture Made During Ferguson Protest

A Providence firefighter is under investigation for a gesture he allegedly made while on-duty during a protest held in front of Providence Fire Department Headquarters last week. The protest followed the decision of a Missouri grand jury not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Michael Brown.

Here is the raw footage of the protest. The firefighter appears in the second floor window of the fire station at approximately 11:10 into the video and obviously gets the attention of the crowd.

The firefighter has reportedly been informed he will be facing some disciplinary action, but the firefighter’s identify and penalty have not been released.
