UK Firefighter Charged With Filming Female Colleagues in Shower

A firefighter with the London Fire Brigade has been charged with voyeurism for secretly filming female colleagues as they showered at work. The firefighter, identified only as a 32-year old male, is also facing charges of sexually enticing girls under the age of 13.

According to the BBC, the firefighter has been suspended from the department, and will be terminated if the charges are sustained. MyLondon is reporting that several female firefighters have been granted leave by city due to the “horrific” incident. The incidents reportedly occurred in 2020-2021 and were investigated by the Metropolitan Police.

My London quoted a colleague of the accused firefighter as saying “He’s the last person you’d expect to be accused of something like this. It’s sent shockwaves throughout the fire service in London.” The accused as reportedly been released on bail. More on the story.
