NY Firefighter Charged with Downloading Child Porn to FD Computer

A firefighter in Fort Johnson, New York in has been charged with downloading child pornography onto a fire department computer.

Randolph Billington, 31, of the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Company, has been arrested and charged with possession of an obscene sexual performance of a child, a Class E felony. The images were discovered during a routine computer check, prompting Fire Chief Alden Miller to contact the NY state police on March 3, 2011 to investigate.

Billington is also facing termination from the fire company, and is currently suspended. He was arraigned on the charges on Monday and is being held at the Montgomery County jail.
