Washington Firefighter Charged With Stealing Ambulance

A recently dismissed member of the Rosalia Fire Department has been arrested and charged with taking one of the department’s ambulances for about a nine-hour period last Sunday morning. Kelly Brown, 35, is accused of burglary and theft in connection with the ambulance joyride.

According to the Spokesman-Review, fire department surveillance cameras captured Brown entering the fire station at 1 am Easter morning and driving off with one of the ambulances. The ambulance was returned at about 10:00am. Two weeks ago, Brown was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and possession of drugs. According to Deputies, Brown was a member of RFD when those crimes took place, but was no longer a member when the ambulance was taken.
