Discipline Announced in SLO Sexy Video

The fire chief and the city manager in San Luis Obispo, California have learned their long awaited fate over the sexy spoof video they participated in last January.

Fire Chief Garret Olson and City Manager Katie Lichtig participated in the making of the video in 2016, which was shown at the city’s annual Chamber of Commerce dinner on January 21, 2017. Critics, including the firefighter’s union, claim the video was “a highly offensive sexual objectification… of city firefighters.”

Chief Olson and Lichtig were given a written reprimand and were docked several days pay by the city council. The chief will also be required to “implement a plan to move the Fire Department forward productively.” Both had had already issued apologies and indicated they did not think the video would create the commotion that it did.
