Indiana FD Sued over 2013 Apparatus Accident

An Indiana fire department is being sued over a 2013 accident between a rescue vehicle and pickup truck.

Andrew Bryner is suing White River Township and the White River Township Fire Department over an accident that occurred on December 14, 2013 at the scene of a previous accident. According to the complaint, Bryner’s pickup truck was stopped in traffic “in deference to emergency vehicles and other stopped traffic” when the driver of the rescue truck “lost control of his vehicle and collided with the rear of the (Bryners’) vehicle with great force and violence, causing severe injuries.”

Bryner is claiming personal injures with medical bills totaling $8,000 and his son, Larry, is claiming $13,000 in medical bills. The action was filed in Randolph County Circuit Court in mid-December. The complaint is not available.
