Court Orders Tampa Fire To Reinstate Victim of Discrimination

A female firefighter who was fired a day after she filed suit for discrimination and retaliation, has been awarded her job back. Yesterday, US District Court Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich ordered the Tampa Fire Department to reinstate firefighter Tanja Vidovic.

Florida Firefighter Awarded $245k for Gender Discrimination

A federal court jury has awarded a Tampa firefighter $245,000 for sex discrimination. Tanja Vidovic was awarded the verdict last week following a four-week trial. She alleged gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation.

Tampa Firefighter Suing for Sexual Harassment Is Fired

A Tampa firefighter who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in March, was terminated the following day. Tanja Vidovic was terminated on March 24, one day after she filed suit in federal court accusing the fire department of sexual harassment and gender discrimination.
