Conviction of Delaware Deputy Chief Upheld

The conviction of a former Delaware deputy chief on charges that he engaged in sexual activities with an under-age junior firefighter has been upheld by the New Castle County Superior Court. Dwayne Pearson sought to have his conviction overturned because the charges were unconstitutionally vague, or alternatively that he was not in a position of trust, authority or supervision.

Sexual Assault Case Against Kentucky Fire Department Dismissed

A federal court has dismissed a Kentucky fire department and two chief officers from a lawsuit brought by a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by an off-duty firefighter. The suit was brought by Emmalee Young, and accused former City of Paris firefighter William Michael Fields Jr. of providing her with alcohol, sexually assaulting her, and creating child pornography by recording it.

Indiana Captain Resigns Following Arrest for Sex With Minor

A captain with the Bloomington Fire Department who is facing felony charges related to a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl has tendered his resignation. Captain Robert Sears was charged with child solicitation and sexual misconduct with a minor.

PA Chief Arrested With Minor

A Pennsylvania fire chief has been removed from office following his arrest last night. Chief Aaron Powell, 46, of the Versailles Volunteer Fire Company, was charged with public lewdness and corruption of a minor after he was caught with a 17-year old girl engaging in sexual activities.

Connecticut Captain Charged With Sexually Assaulting Junior Firefighter

A captain with the Plainfield Fire Department has been charged with sexually assaulting a junior firefighter. Kevin Wells, 27, is facing three counts of second-degree sexual assault. The victim reported the assault on August 8, 2017. She reported that the assault occurred at the fire station.

Pennsylvania Assistant Chief Charged With Sexual Assault of Junior Firefighter

An assistant chief in Pennsylvania has been charged with having sex with a junior firefighter in his department. Kenneth Steiner has been charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility, disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor, and corruption of a minor.
