Sexual Assault Case Against Kentucky Fire Department Dismissed

A federal court has dismissed a Kentucky fire department and two chief officers from a lawsuit brought by a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by an off-duty firefighter. The suit was brought by Emmalee Young, and accused former City of Paris firefighter William Michael Fields Jr. of providing her with alcohol, sexually assaulting her, and creating child pornography by recording it.

Kentucky Fire Department Sued in Sexual Assault of Minor Case

The victim of two sexual assaults that occurred on fire department property while she was a minor, has filed suit against the firefighter, the fire department and several individuals that she claims are responsible.

Curt Varone has over 45 years of fire service experience and 35 as a practicing attorney licensed in both Rhode Island and Maine. His background includes 29 years as a career firefighter in Providence (retiring as a Deputy Assistant Chief), as well as volunteer and paid on call experience.
