Philadelphia and IAFF Local 22 Prevail in Suit by Terminated Firefighter

A Philadelphia firefighter who was terminated following his second conviction for driving under the influence, has lost his civil suit against the city and Philadelphia Firefighters IAFF Local 22. Andrew Addeo was fired on September 28, 2015, following his arrest and conviction earlier in the year. Addeo had previously been charged with DUI in 2012.

Philly Union Responds to Sex Scandal Allegations

The sex scandal in Philadelphia took a strange twist Friday with IAFF Local 22 going on the offensive claiming the department forced the alleged victim to file a complaint. Union President Joseph Schulle criticized the city for releasing a heavily redacted version of an investigative report and suggested that the release of the full report would show flaws on the fire department’s part.
