Revenge Porn Leads to Sexual Harassment Allegations in Las Vegas Fire

An attorney for a Las Vegas firefighter has put the department and union leadership on notice that a lawsuit may be coming in regards to sexual harassment allegations involving revenge porn. Attorney Jenny Foley told Channel 13 News that Fire Chief William McDonald, IAFF Local 1285 President Eric Littman and others have been instructed to take steps to preserve any evidence currently in their possession related to the case.

The City of Las Vegas is following through on plans to install video surveillance at its fire stations in the aftermath of recent sex-on-duty scandals. Jury Awards San Jose BC $800k For Retaliation

A jury has awarded a San Jose battalion chief $800,000 for retaliation, while ruling in favor of the city on identical claims by a former fire captain. BC Patricia Tapia and Captain Debra Ward sued the city in 2014 claiming they has been unlawfully retaliated against after settling a discrimination lawsuit in 2012.

Las Vegas Fire Facing Two Federal Court Wrongful Death Suits Over EMS Response

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is facing two federal lawsuits alleging the city’s EMS dispatch policy was responsible for the deaths of two victims in 2014. The suits were brought on behalf of John Benjamin Kraai and Brandon Charles Pickford and allege substantially the same thing: the failure to dispatch American Medical Response (AMR) units in both instances led to their deaths.
