A Massachusetts firefighter who was dismissed earlier this year, is suing the Town of Natick and its fire chief claiming he was retaliated against for refusing to falsify a report. Skyler Sarkisian filed suit in Middlesex County Superior Court alleging several violations of Massachusetts state law.

A Bridgeport, Connecticut firefighter who was terminated in 2012 following his arrest for insurance fraud, has lost a third lawsuit alleging that he was wrongful terminated. James Jackson was accused of falsely reporting that several thousand dollars worth of personal items had been stolen in a burglary in order to collect from his insurer.

A Cleveland firefighter who was charged with submitting a false report following an apparatus accident has been found not guilty by a jury. Last June, firefighter Richard Nickerson, 42, was driving Cleveland’s Ladder 36 when it drove into a light tower in a parking lot. Nickerson and his officer, Capt. Ronald Vargo, 50, allegedly submitted reports stating Ladder 36 was cut-off by a white car.
