A Massachusetts firefighter and his fire department will have to travel to Connecticut to defend themselves in a civil suit arising out of an accident which occurred in Hartford in 2019. Fatal Collision Prompts Suit in Mississippi

The family of a man killed in a collision with a responding fire chief in Mississippi last year, has filed suit against the county fire council and the chief. Kenneth Fitzgerald was killed when the vehicle he was riding in collided with a Ford F-350 owned by the Jones County Volunteer Fire Department Council and operated by Fire Chief Anthony Pitts of the Soso Volunteer Fire Department.

Washington Fire Department Settles Fatal Accident Suit

The North Kitsap Fire & Rescue has agreed to settle a wrongful death lawsuit arising out of a 2014 accident between an engine and a motor scooter. Jason Foster was killed on July 4, 2014 following a collision between his motor scooter and an engine. Foster’s family filed suit against NKFR.

Michigan FD Sued Over Fatal Crash

The driver of a vehicle that struck a fire truck parked at the scene of a rollover crash on I-94 earlier this year is suing the fire department and the apparatus’ driver claiming "Neither the lights nor sirens of the fire truck were activated" at the time of the accident.

A Connecticut firefighter whose foot was run over and crushed by an engine at the scene of a house fire last year, is suing his fire department and the driver for his injuries. California Apparatus Collision Results in $15 Million Settlement

A 53-year-old California man who was severely injured when two fire trucks collided as he was waiting to cross the street, has agreed to settle his claims for $15 million. Kenneth Thai was waiting to cross the street on April 16, 2014 when a ladder truck from the Alhambra Fire Department collided with an engine from the Monterey Park Fire Department, causing the engine to strike Thai and continue into a restaurant.
