A former Pennsylvania fire chief who embezzled more than $84,000 over a seven-year period from his fire volunteer department, has pled guilty. Adam Kauer, 39, had been the fire chief of the East Carnegie Volunteer Fire Department from 2012 to 2019.

Chief and Wife Arrested for Volunteer Theft in South Carolina

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has filed charges against a fire chief and his wife who are accused of embezzling thousands from the volunteer fire company they oversaw. Joseph Kirk Reynolds, the former fire chief of the Asbury-Rehoboth VFD, and his wife, treasurer Gina Reynolds, were charged with embezzlement of public funds and breach of trust.
