Nicholas Macchiarolo was a firefighter with the Marco Island Fire Department in 2018 when he shared explicit photos with the girl via Facebook Messenger and Snapchat.

The family of a man killed in a house fire has filed suit against Polk County Fire Rescue and a former captain who was at the center of a subsequent YCMTSU incident. The fire on October 11, 2017 claimed the life of Edward McLaughlin, 78. Six other occupants escaped the early morning blaze.

Virginia State Police are investigating an alleged gang-rape involving firefighters of the Strasburg Volunteer Fire Department last April. The allegations involved a 17-year old female who was reportedly “highly intoxicated” and involved with five men ages 20 to 36.
