Tampa Firefighter Suing for Sexual Harassment Is Fired

A Tampa firefighter who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in March, was terminated the following day. Tanja Vidovic was terminated on March 24, one day after she filed suit in federal court accusing the fire department of sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

Schenectady Settles FD Sexual Harassment Suit for $500K

The City of Schenectady, New York has agreed to settle a federal court sexual harassment lawsuit filed last year by a female firefighter for $500,000. Jennifer Costa sued the city claiming she had been repeatedly subjected to lewd behavior; passed over for promotion; and retaliated against following complaints she made about harassing behavior.
