Florida Firefighter Caught Up In Police Sex Scandal Resigns

A firefighter with the Lakeland Fire Department who was caught up in a sex scandal involving Lakeland police officers has chosen to resign. David Bivens resigned yesterday just before his pre-disciplinary hearing was set to begin.

    I see we need a new mandatory course in the police and fire academies, along with a mandatory annual refresher on "Keeping It Zipped 101." This would be right along with the courses on "Not Ripping Off Your Community/Department/Agency," and "How Not To Act In Public."
